Born on December 8, 1955, in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan, Dr. Anil Sanganeria hails from a reputed Sanganeria family with deep roots in the city. He completed his primary and secondary education at SN Vidhalaya, Nawalgarh (1965–1971), followed by college studies at Seth GB Poddar College, Nawalgarh (1972–1973).His passion for medicine led him to Swai Mansingh Medical College, Jaipur, where he pursued his MBBS (1974–1978) and MS in Surgery (1982). Dr. Sanganeria further specialized in oncosurgery, earning the prestigious FICS (Fellow of International College of Surgeons, Chicago, USA) in 1986, with advanced training at the Cancer Unit of Bombay Hospital.

Professional Journey and Achievements

With over four decades of medical excellence, Dr. Sanganeria has held senior assignments in the cancer units of Mumbai’s most renowned hospitals, including:

• Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Center

• Breach Candy Hospital

• Saifee Hospital

He has also served as a visiting cancer surgeon in Jaipur and other cities, contributing his expertise to institutions such as Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital and HCG Cancer Hospital, Jaipur.Dr. Sanganeria is nationally and internationally recognized for his surgical expertise and unique contributions to the medical fraternity. His extraordinary cancer surgeries have been featured in leading publications like Times of India, Hindustan Times, and Free Press. He has published numerous research and academic papers in national and international journals, furthering the field of oncosurgery.In 2017, Dr. Sanganeria was honored at the International Surgeons Platform in Birmingham, UK, during a global conference, acknowledging his outstanding service and innovation in cancer surgery.

Community Service and Social Initiatives

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Sanganeria is deeply committed to community welfare. He runs the NGO Jagaran in Nawalgarh and Mumbai, addressing social, medical, and literary causes. For over 20 years, he has led cancer awareness and control programs across Shekhawati, Rajasthan, reaching more than 25,000 students and community members through public rallies and educational sessions.He has organized and participated in numerous free cancer check-up, treatment, and surgery camps in Sikar, Nawalgarh, and other regions, performing major surgeries at local hospitals such as Jaipuria, Morarka, and Jangir.

Contributions to Arts and Literature

A man of many talents, Dr. Sanganeria is also a recognized modern artist and poet. His paintings have been exhibited at the Nehru Center and other premier art galleries in Mumbai. As a patron of the Bombay Art Society, he collaborates with eminent international artists. His literary pursuits include poetry in both Hindi and English, and he is known for organizing and participating in literary programs in Nawalgarh, celebrated for his poetic style and insight.

Family and Personal Life

Dr. Sanganeria belongs to a distinguished family in Nawalgarh. He is the son of Late Sh. N. R. Sanganeria and Late Smt. Pana Devi Sanganeria. His wife, Dr. Mini Sanganeria, MS, is a reputed gynecologist in Mumbai. Their daughter, Aditi Sanganeria, holds an MBA and serves in an executive role at Procter & Gamble, Mumbai. Their son, Aditya Sanganeria, is an HEC Paris MBA graduate and is settled in Paris, France.Despite his global recognition, Dr. Sanganeria’s heart remains deeply connected to his hometown, Nawalgarh.
