Dr. Rai’s illustrious career began with the Indian Army, where he served in various capacities, including Medical Officer, Surgical Specialist, and Consultant Surgeon at leading military hospitals across India.

His expertise was further honed through senior residencies and consultant roles at prestigious institutions such as PGIMER Chandigarh and Command Hospitals in Chandimandir and Udhampur.

Since 2008, Dr. Rai has been a cornerstone of Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mohali, where he leads the Department of Urology & Andrology. Under his guidance, the department has become a center of excellence for advanced urological care.
